Recommended Profanity Policies

The Profanity lexicon can be used to log or audit email that contains profanity, to block outgoing messages that contain profanity, or to add a disclaimer if a message contains profanity.

If you are concerned about the use of profanity, you can define the following policies:

Profanity Blocking Policy

This policy blocks outgoing messages when the subject, body or attachments contain profanity.

Send Format Send the email message back to the sender so that the sender can change the offending content and resend.
Subject and Message ZixCorp recommends that you use a custom message or subject to inform the sender of why the email is being returned.

Profanity Branding Policy

This policy attaches a corporate email usage statement, disclaimer, and/or a harassment reporting HTML link if a message contains profanity.
